Product Description

Sintered chrome corundum brick is a high-grade refractory product, which uses chromium oxide and corundum as its core raw materials. It is shaped and sintered through specific processes to achieve defined shapes and dimensions.

1. Core Composition:

• Material: It is fundamentally made of the sintered chrome corundum material, which is a solid solution of alpha-alumina (Al₂O₃) and chromium (III) oxide (Cr₂O₃).

• Form: Processed into standard brick shapes (e.g., rectangular, arch) or specific special shapes to facilitate transportation, masonry, and assembly into complex furnace structures.

2. Key Manufacturing Process:

• Raw Material Preparation: High-purity, ultra-fine alumina and chromium oxide powders are used to ensure sintering activity and final properties.

• Forming: High-pressure forming techniques are typically employed.

• Sintering: Sintering is carried out in precisely controlled high-temperature kilns (typically >1700°C). Accurate sintering profiles (heating, soaking, cooling) are crucial for achieving the desired microstructure (fine-grained, dense).

Application

Primary Application Fields:

Sintered chrome corundum bricks are primarily used in the most critical sections of demanding high-temperature industrial furnaces:

• Glass Melting Furnaces: This is its largest application area.

• Working end linings, Forehearth channels

• Superstructure (e.g., breastwalls, crowns) in oxy-fuel furnaces

• Burner blocks

• Lining around bubbling systems

• Bushing blocks and channels in glass fiber furnaces

• Petrochemical Industry: Linings for high-temperature units like ethylene cracking furnaces and gasifiers.

Purpose
Description
AC30-AC60 is suitable for high temperature areas in the upper layer of he heat storage chamber of glass kilns,as well as high erosion areas such as glass fiber kin flues and ascending passages.Specially designed for working conditions with strict requirements for corrosion resistance performance.
AC 70-AC 94 is suitable for glass contact areas: melting pool tile/floor sub layer, channel wall/bottom, flow channel brick; Pool wall and channel backing. Special adaptation: Liquid crystal/microcrystalline glass, low alkali borosilicate glass, Aurora glass kiln pool wall bricks/paving bricks/backing bricks. Glass wool/fiberglass kiln chimney high erosion zone and float kiln brick.

In practical applications, selection should be based on comprehensive evaluation of glass composition, melting temperature, design lifespan and other parameters.
