Refractory Ramming Mix is a dry or semi-dry monolithic refractory material installed by forceful ramming. Composed of graded refractory aggregates, fines, binders, and additives, it achieves extremely high bulk density and structural strength through impact force during installation. Typically requiring no special curing or baking after placement, it can be rapidly heated to service, forming a seamless, dense, and joint-free monolithic lining. It is particularly suited for complex geometries where traditional bricklaying or casting is difficult and for applications requiring fast repair.
Ramming mixes are primarily used in critical industrial areas demanding exceptional physical strength and chemical stability.
Metallurgy Industry
• Lining of induction furnaces; impact zones and working linings of blast furnace troughs and runners; repair of slag line areas in Ladle Furnaces (LF).
Non - Ferrous Metals Industry
• Hearth, crucible, and tap holes of copper and aluminum smelting furnaces.
Glass Industry
• Sealing and protective layers for the glass tank furnace bottom.
Chemical & Energy
• Combustion chambers of gasifiers; key linings in waste incinerators; hearth of calcium carbide furnaces.
General Industry
• Rapid hot repair of localized damage in various industrial kilns and furnaces.
