Refractory Sealing Patch is a paste-like or moldable, rapid-setting monolithic refractory material. Composed of ultra-fine aggregates, chemical binders, and special additives, it typically exhibits outstanding plasticity, adhesion, and flexibility. During application, it can be manually troweled or packed into the repair area, where it hardens quickly at ambient or elevated temperatures, bonding firmly to the substrate to form a dense, seamless seal. This product is primarily used for emergency repairs, crack sealing, and defect filling in furnace linings. As a key material for preventive maintenance and fast emergency fixes, it significantly extends lining life and prevents unplanned production stoppages.
Sealing Patches are suitable for the local rapid repair and sealing of refractory linings across various industrial thermal equipment, proving critical when immediate full shutdown for overhaul is not possible.
General Hot Repair:
Crack & Joint Sealing: Filling thermal shock cracks, open brick joints, or expansion joints in furnace walls and arches.
Hole & Gouge Patching: Repairing localized holes, gouges, or slag erosion pits caused by material scour or corrosion.
Anchors & Penetrations Sealing: Sealing gaps around thermowell sleeves, burner blocks, sight ports, and other metal penetrations to prevent gas leakage.
Industry-Specific Applications:
Steel Industry: Patching localized hot spots and gaps on blast furnace shells, hot blast ducts, ladle/torpedo car linings.
Cement Industry: Rapidly sealing material leaks at rotary kiln hoods/tails and cracks in preheater cones.
Petrochemical & Power: Repairing cracks in cracking furnace and boiler walls; sealing areas around burners.
Glass & Non-Ferrous Metals: Patching joints in glass tank sidewalls or throat areas; sealing gaps at furnace doors and tap-holes of smelting furnaces.

Select the appropriate grade based on furnace temperature during repair (cold, warm, hot) and the contact medium (acidic, alkaline). Before application, clean the surface of loose debris and compact the patch firmly to ensure good adhesion. For more information or to request a quote, please contact us!
