Product Description

Sintered Zircon Refractory Bricks are premium-grade, high-performance materials engineered for the most demanding industrial environments. Primarily composed of high-purity zirconium oxide (ZrO₂, typically over 65%), they are manufactured through precise grinding, high-pressure forming, and sintering at ultra-high temperatures. This process yields a brick with exceptionally low porosity, high bulk density, and superior mechanical strength.

The key performance advantages lie in their exceptional resistance to corrosion by acidic slags, molten glasses (especially soda-lime and borosilicate), and non-ferrous metals like aluminum and copper. They exhibit excellent thermal shock stability due to their moderate thermal expansion, making them reliable under rapid temperature cycling. Furthermore, they maintain structural integrity and do not contaminate contact materials at temperatures up to 1750°C.

Consequently, they are the material of choice for critical lining zones in glass tank furnaces (e.g., superstructure, regenerator crowns), steel ladles for specialty steelmaking, and reactors in chemical and non-ferrous metal industries. Their long service life directly translates to reduced furnace downtime and lower overall operational costs, offering a high-value solution for extreme thermal and chemical challenges.

Application

Glass Industry

Glass Melting Furnace Regenerators: Used in the upper checkers and crown of regenerators due to exceptional resistance to alkali vapor attack and thermal shock.

Superstructure of Glass Tanks: Lining for ports, breast walls, and sidewalls exposed to corrosive batch dust and vapors.

1. Ceramic & Chemical Industries

High-Temperature Kiln Furniture: Used as setters and supports for firing advanced ceramics (e.g., electronic ceramics) due to high refractoriness and stability.

Chemical Incinerators & Reactors: Lining for units processing aggressive chemical wastes or corrosive media at high temperatures.

2. Other Demanding Applications

Waste Melting Furnaces: Resistant to highly corrosive slags generated from municipal or industrial waste vitrification.
Foundry: Critical linings in investment casting and precision casting processes.
