The National Standards Committee approved the release of four national standards for refractory materials

The National Standardization Administration Committee No. 6 of 2018 announced the approval of 389 national standards, including four national standards for refractory materials. Specific standard names are as follows.


The National Standardization Administration Committee No. 6 of 2018 announced the approval of 389 national standards, including four national standards for refractory materials. Specific standard names are as follows.

1) GB/T 7320-2018 "Refractories Thermal Expansion Test Method": this standard specifies the definition, principles, equipment, specimens, test procedures, calculation of results, test errors and test reports for the determination of thermal expansion of refractory materials. This standard applies to the determination of the linear expansion rate, average linear expansion coefficient and instantaneous linear expansion coefficient of refractory materials. This standard contains the following two thermal expansion test methods: the difference method and the top bar method. Substitute standard GB/T 7320-2008, implementation date 2019-04-01.

2) GB/T 17911-2018 "Refractory fiber products test method": this standard specifies the thickness of refractory fiber products, bulk density, resilience, heating permanent line change, thermal conductivity, tensile strength and slag ball content of the test method. This standard applies to refractory fiber cotton, blanket, felt, woven fabric, board, paper and preformed products, not applicable to products delivered in the wet state. Substitute standard GB/T 17911-2006, implementation date 2019-04-01.

3) GB/T 36133-2018 "Refractories Thermal conductivity test method (platinum resistance thermometer method)": This standard specifies the principle, equipment, specimens, installation, test procedures, calculation of results and test reports for the determination of thermal conductivity of refractory materials by the platinum resistance thermometer method. This standard applies to the determination of the thermal conductivity of refractory materials that do not contain carbon, non-conductive and thermal conductivity is not greater than 15 W / (m - K). Implementation date 2019-04-01.

4) GB/T 36134-2018 "Indeterminate refractories Burst Resistance Test Method": This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, equipment, specimens, test procedures and test reports for the burst resistance test method for indeterminate refractories. This standard applies to the determination of the burst resistance of unshaped refractory materials. Implementation date 2019-04-01.
